President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb met His Majesty King Charles III on Tuesday 17 March 2026 in London. The President made a working visit the United Kingdom on 16 and 17 March 2026 together with his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb.
The presidential couple and King Charles visited the exhibition New Wood: Building a bio-based future at The Garrison Chapel. The exhibition showcases Finnish wood-based innovations that offer alternatives to fossil-based materials. Following this, His Majesty received President Stubb in audience at Buckingham Palace.
On Tuesday President Stubb also visited Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs. In his speech, he reflected on Europe's current situation and its future. According to the President, the EU and the UK need to identify areas of cooperation that benefit both sides, for example in security, the economy, technology, and energy. On Monday 16 March, President Stubb visited the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). The President discussed with students and delivered a lecture on rebalancing the new world order in an age of fragmentation.
