Global furniture brand's 'Centre for Excellence' brings big benefits for team, customers and the environment, paving the way for future growth
30 September 2026 - British furniture brand, NaughtOne, is marking a major manufacturing milestone with the opening of a new factory in its home region of Yorkshire, UK.
The 33,000 square foot building brings production, warehousing and customer experience together under one roof for the first time. The move will support the next phase of the brand's growth, strengthening how it serves customers and suppliers across the UK and Europe.
Norquest House will greatly enhance the NaughtOne team's working environment, with increased space and improved amenities. The move supports faster, more reliable service for customers and gives the brand a dedicated space to welcome clients and partners from around the world to experience its craft manufacturing first-hand
The move also reflects NaughtOne's ongoing commitment to reducing its environmental impact. It is a fully renewable-energy production site with an A-graded EPC rating, meaning it is highly energy efficient and designed to minimise energy consumption and emissions. It's set to significantly reduce the company's carbon footprint due to its operational efficiency and location. Situated closer to major suppliers and customers, it will reduce mileage by on average 8,500 miles per year.
Norquest House will become NaughtOne's 'Centre for Excellence', setting the global standards for production. From here, the brand will manufacture furniture for its UK and European customers alongside developing new products and upholstery for future launches. The facility includes a spacious production floor, warehousing, large canteen, meeting spaces, wellness room, mothering room and a new Custom Studio, which will further improve NaughtOne's capabilities to create bespoke furniture, tailored for the client, setting and use.
Norquest House is NaughtOne's fifth new opening in the last three years, with the business moving into its Harrogate HQ and London Showroom in 2024, before unveiling its new Chicago and New York showrooms in 2025.
The brand recently celebrated its 21st year in business, having been designing and manufacturing furniture since 2005. Founded in Yorkshire, a region famous for its textile heritage, NaughtOne continues to work to its founding ethos to design beautifully simple pieces, made to withstand time, trends and wear.
Nadean McNaught, Managing Director of NaughtOne says: "We couldn't be happier to be celebrating the opening of Norquest House. NaughtOne has grown a lot over the last two decades and reached the point where we needed more space, both to give our people the facilities they need for the future and to support the future growth of the business, particularly here in the UK and across Europe which are markets we care deeply about.
"Superior engineering, skilled manufacturing and expert upholstery are fundamental to our products and their performance. The new factory will enable us to maintain our high standards globally, while raising the bar with innovation, customisation and collaboration.
"A huge thank you to everyone who has played a part in making the move happen. We're looking forward to welcoming clients over the coming months, our doors are open!"
