Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Sari Essayah will visit Morocco from 24 to 27 March 2026. The purpose of the trip is to strengthen bilateral relations and promote trade with Morocco, especially in forest and water expertise. Minister Essayah will be accompanied by a business delegation focusing on these matters.

During her visit, Minister Essayah will meet with key figures, including the Moroccan ministers responsible for agriculture, forestry and water affairs.
The programme also includes events organised by Morocco's National Agency for Water and Forests and discussions on the potential development of research cooperation. Morocco has shown interest in Finland's sustainable and innovative forestry and its solid and diverse water expertise.

"Morocco is an important potential growth market for our sawmill industry, and there are considerable opportunities for cooperation involving water expertise. During our visit, we aim to bolster Finland's reputation as a leading country in sustainable and innovative bioeconomy solutions. I hope the trip will help open doors to new partnerships," Minister Essayah says.
