Potential Traffic Impacts in Downtown St. Pete This Weekend

Jan. 23, 2025 - From Friday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m. to Saturday, Jan. 25, at 8 a.m., drivers and pedestrians may experience traffic congestion in Downtown St. Pete due to construction at 235 3rd St. S. Approximately 400 trucks and associated equipment will be present for the pouring of the foundation for the 3rd and 3rd Apartments project.

While no lane closures are anticipated, some instances of blocked lanes or congestion can be expected as trucks drive to and from the construction site. Police officers will be on site to assist with traffic control. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid traffic or delays.

The City of St. Petersburg has been working closely with the contractor, KAST Construction, to limit the amount of noise and light pollution which may be generated from the work and to mitigate any disturbance to surrounding residents and businesses. The City of St. Petersburg appreciates the public's patience and cooperation.
