Anchorage, Alaska - The University of Alaska Anchorage hockey team announced their yearly award winners.
"As we wrap up the season, we want to recognize the players who stood out both on and off the ice," said head coach Matt Shasby. "These awards represent the dedication, character, and compete level that define our program."

Rookie of the Year - Tye Spencer

An outstanding first season and a bright future ahead in the Green and Gold. He led the team with eight goals and ranked third on the team with 13 assists.

Defensive Player of the Year - Tyler Krivtsov

For consistency, reliability, and shutting down opponents night after night. He started 25 of 33 games finishing with a 3.48 goals against average and a .901 save percentage.

Offensive Player of the Year - Karter McNarland

Recognizing consistent production and the ability to drive offense for the Seawolves. He led the team in both points (21) and assists (17). He had four multi-point games, including a hat trick at Lindenwood on Feb. 14th.
