REV. SHARPTON TO BE A SPECIAL GUEST AT THE MASS MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR POPE FRANCIS AT ST. PATRICK'S CATHEDRAL

NEW YORK, NY (April 21, 2025) - Civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton will be a special guest at the mass memorial service for Pope Francis Tuesday at St. Patrick's Cathedral.

At a time when there is so much instability both here and abroad, as well as a climate of divisiveness, ugly rhetoric and draconian policies emanating from powerful forces, Pope Francis' work is a stark reminder of what we can and must do to save humanity. His life's work focused on our interconnectedness, and it is precisely why we must unite to fight against those who seek to divide and ruin us.
