GBTA Supports Modern Skies Coalition in Urging Air Traffic Control Modernization
GBTA showed its support for the Modern Skies Coalition's recent submission of a comprehensive set of legislative policy priorities to improve the safety and efficiency of the U.S. National Airspace System.
In a letter to the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, the Coalition outlined in the critical importance of the initiative which builds on the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024 and the recent $12.5 billion investment championed by the Committee and recently signed into law.
In addition to GBTA, the letter is co-signed by 56 organizations, underscoring broad industry support for this transformative initiative.
The Coalition's proposal outlines four key objectives:
- Develop a comprehensive plan
- Ensure strong transparency and oversight
- Streamline acquisitions and foster performance-driven partnerships
- Ensure robust funding and continuity of operations
