Willkie advised HOERBIGER Holding AG, a worldwide technology group, on the acquisition of Physik Instrumente (PI) Group from its shareholders.

PI Group, headquartered in Karlsruhe, Germany, is renowned for its high precision motion and positioning solutions, including piezoelectric drives, linear actuators, rotary tables and multi axis systems. PI Group's global operations, comprising approximately 1,900 employees, will form the new "Positioning" division within the HOERBIGER portfolio. It will remain a standalone operating unit, retaining its name, brand, and global market presence. The company operates within nine production sites across Europe, North America, and Asia and 16 sales and service subsidiaries.

HOERBIGER, owned by HOERBIGER Foundation, specializes in performance-enhancing components for industry.
