Danos to Support Operations for New Projects in the Gulf of America

Danos announced it has been selected as the primary contractor for an integrated energy major's projects in the Gulf of America.

Danos will support hook-up, commissioning and ongoing production operations for newly sanctioned floating production units (FPU). Danos also will provide additional support to the project and construction teams.

Through the contract, Danos will provide all the topside production processing staff, as well as maintenance, crane and lifting services for the facilities. The company will initially onboard 40 to 45 employees including topside operations supervisory personnel, mechanics, electricians, automation specialists and production operators. A similar staffing model will follow for a second production unit. This innovative operations and maintenance model leverages an integrated onsite team of highly skilled, multi-disciplined Danos professionals, backed by a Danos onshore technical group, to provide complete support and added value to its client.

Danos Operations Services President Reed Pere' said the project reflects continued growth in Danos' outsourced operations model, which enables the company to operate facilities on behalf of customers across the asset lifecycle. This model helps operators lower expenses and gain greater flexibility in managing complex assets.

"This project highlights our proven approach to managing operations," Pere' said. "We are focused on delivering safe, reliable performance from startup through ongoing production."

With 79 years of experience supporting the energy industry, Danos brings deep expertise in production operations and maintenance delivery. The work reflects the company's ability to deploy experienced, multi-skilled teams and execute complex offshore operations through a disciplined, safety-focused approach.
