52nd Annual Mount Gretna Art Show Returns August 15–16, 2026

One of Pennsylvania's most beloved summer traditions returns as the 52nd Annual Mount Gretna Art Show fills the wooded streets and parks of the historic Chautauqua community on Saturday, August 15 (9 a.m.-6 p.m.) and Sunday, August 16 (9 a.m.-5 p.m.), rain or shine.

Consistently ranked among the nation's top outdoor art festivals-including recognition in Sunshine Artist's 200 Best-the Mount Gretna Art Show brings together 200 juried fine artists and craftspeople from across the country. Visitors can explore original artwork, enjoy gourmet food, relax under the trees with live music, and experience the charm of one of Pennsylvania's most picturesque Victorian communities.

Art Show Director Kerry Royer says, "We welcome artists and patrons from across the nation as well as celebrating the arts in our local community. The Art Show is the pinnacle of the Mount Gretna summer season."

Expanded Mount Gretna International Film Festival

The Mount Gretna International Film Festival (MtGIFF) expands to both days of the Art Show and will be held at the Mount Gretna Playhouse. Film lovers can explore the full schedule at www.mtgiff.com.

Art Show Highlights

  • 200 Exhibitors showcasing fine art, sculpture, jewelry, photography, ceramics, fiber art, and more
  • Emerging Artists Section spotlighting rising talent
  • Gourmet Food Court featuring standout local restaurants
  • Craft Beer & Wine from Snitz Creek Brewery in the Hall of Philosophy
  • Kids Art Show (10 a.m.-2 p.m. both days) with make-and-take projects, and hands-on creativity, sponsored by the Mount Gretna Arts Council
  • Live Music All Weekend from acclaimed regional and national performers

1:30-3:30 p.m. - Edilson Sobagal Latin Jazz EnsembleFeaturing Edilson Sobagal (drums), Ryan Kauffman (sax), John Gingerich (bass), Hector Rosado (percussion)

4 p.m. - Strolling performance by the Mount Gretna Marching Band

Sunday

11 a.m.-1 p.m. - Tom Hilliker: Friends and FamilyFeaturing Tom Hilliker (bass), Jerry Hilliker (guitar), David Hilliker (drums), Bob Meashey (trumpet/flugelhorn), Andy Roberts (piano)

1:30-3:30 p.m. - The Hot Club of Reading All Stars(New Orleans Jazz) Featuring Ken Gehret (fiddle/vocals), Chris Heslop (sax/clarinet/washboard), Josh Taylor (guitar), Bruce Campbell (bass)

Emerging Musicians will offer pop-up performances throughout the weekend.

Parking, Shuttles & Traffic

Parking is available at Soldiers Field on Timber Roadnear the lake, with shuttle service from WellSpan Philhaven. The Mount Gretna Volunteer Fire Company will offer shuttle service for handicapped visitors.

During show hours, Route 117 will be closed, and traffic patterns will be adjusted. All routes will be clearly marked and staffed.

  • Adults: $15 cash / $16 credit
  • Children under 12: Free Admission
  • No pets are permitted on the Art Show grounds.

Founded in the late 1800s as a summer retreat, Mount Gretna remains a haven of Victorian cottages, forested footpaths, and cultural life centered around the open-air Mount Gretna Playhouse.
