Palm Bay Recreation Announces Full Lineup of Summer Camp Opportunities for 2026

With school ending earlier this year, summer fun in Palm Bay is starting sooner than ever. The City of Palm Bay Recreation Department is offering a full lineup of camp opportunities for families, including School's Out Camp, Summer Fun Camp, and YMCA Summer Day Camp, providing engaging, safe, and enriching experiences for children throughout the season.

Kicking off the summer early is School's Out Camp, a four-day program designed for ages 6-12, running May 26 through May 29 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with flexible drop-off and pick-up times available throughout the day. Campers will enjoy a variety of activities including sports, games, arts and crafts, and outdoor fun in a structured and supportive environment. This camp will be offered at both Ted Whitlock Community Center, 370 Championship Circle NW, and Tony Rosa Community Center, 1502 Port Malabar Blvd NE. The cost is $88 for the week, and registration is available online at playonline.palmbayfl.gov. Space is limited and registration is first come, first served, with spots guaranteed only after payment is completed. Registration closes May 23 at 5:00 a.m.

Following School's Out Camp, Summer Fun Camp will take place at Tony Rosa Community Center for children ages 6-12. Running Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. throughout the summer, this program offers a wide range of activities including games, sports, crafts, field trips, special guests, outdoor play, reading time, and STEM-based learning. Campers will also receive free breakfast and lunch as part of the program. Weekly fees are $110, and space is limited. Registration is completed online at playonline.palmbayfl.gov, and weekly spots are not guaranteed until payment is received.

Also returning this summer is the YMCA Summer Day Camp at Ted Whitlock Community Center, serving children entering 1st grade through exiting 5th grade. This program runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and features 10 themed weeks filled with activities such as swimming, creative arts, sports, group games, and outdoor adventures. Campers will also receive free breakfast and lunch as part of the program. Families may register for individual weeks or the full summer, with a recurring payment option available for those enrolling in all sessions. Weekly camp fees are $120 per child, with a one-time $25 registration fee. Registration is available online at ymcacf.org, and weekly spots are secured upon payment.

Financial assistance may be available for eligible families across all camp programs through the City of Palm Bay Recreation Department. Eligibility may include participation in Free or Reduced Lunch, EBT Food Assistance, or other income-based qualifications. Families must complete an application and submit required documentation prior to registration approval. Additional information and applications are available at www.palmbayfl.gov/daycamps.

After registering for City of Palm Bay camps, families will receive an email to complete required forms through ePACT, including emergency contact and medical information. All forms must be completed prior to the first day of camp.
