Dentons advises syndicate of lenders on €650 million financing to the Cefetra Group

Amsterdam-A cross-border team of more than 45 lawyers from 17 countries at global law firm Dentons has advised a syndicate of lenders led by original underwriters ING Bank N.V. and Cooperatieve Rabobank U.A. on a €650 million syndicated secured borrowing base financing to the Cefetra Group. In addition to ING and Rabobank, the syndicate of lenders included Deutsche Bank (Amsterdam Branch), Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation, Société Générale, GarantiBank International, Natixis, Nexent Bank, Raiffeisen Bank International, Banque Internationale de Commerce - BRED (Suisse), and Anadolu Bank Nederland.

The Cefetra Group is a worldwide supplier of agricultural products for food, animal feed, and energy industries, which operates in more than 35 locations in Europe and beyond.

This complex asset-backed financing was designed to optimize the value in Cefetra's global commodity inventory. This transaction was carefully structured to refinance its existing secured credit lines and was completed in parallel to the closing of the acquisition of Cefetra by First Dutch.
