Kansas City area maintenance work for March 23-27…

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from March 23-27. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUTNY

Missouri Highway 78 (23rd St.) eastbound between Blue Ridge Ter. And Glenwood Ave.: left lane closed from Wednesday, March 25 until Friday, March 27, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for median work.

Interstate 470 northbound and southbound between Woods Chapel Rd. and Bowlin Rd.: intermittent right lane closures on Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for brush removal.

SW 1st St. (Old Hwy 40) in Oak Grove between the truck stop and Attic Storage: road closed on Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for drainage work.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Route DD between Missouri Highway 23 and Missouri Highway 13: flagging operations on Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24 from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

Missouri Highway 13 between Warrensburg and Route YY: flagging operations on Thursday, March 26, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pothole patching.

PETTIS COUNTY

Missouri Highway 127 at various locations: full closures for culvert replacement work (approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day):

  • Monday, March 23: closed between Route AA and Aker Rd.
  • Tuesday, March 24: closed between Evira Ln. and Pleasant Green Rd.
  • Thursday, March 26: closed between U.S. Highway 50 and Crystal Springs Rd.

PLATTE COUNTY

Route M to south of Nichols Rd.: full closure from Monday, March 23 until Friday, April 3 for pavement repair. Details: POSTPONED: Rt. M CLOSED in Platte County for pavement repairs, Mar. 23 - Apr. 3 | Missouri Department of Transportation

RAY COUNTY

Route O between Reynolds Rd. and Shach Creek Rd.: daily road closure from Monday, March 23, until Thursday, March 26, from approximately 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for ditch work.

MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
