Inside CBS' 2026 Primetime Schedule

Returning Hits, Strong Franchises, and Standout New Series

CBS has unveiled its 2026-2027 fall primetime schedule with a lineup designed to captivate viewers across generations and platforms. The new season combines strategic franchise expansion, new originals, and a deep bench of returning hits complemented by can't miss sports, and major live events.

Highlights include the expansion of the powerhouse NCIS franchise with NCIS: New York, along with three previously announced new series: Cupertino,Einstein, and Eternally Yours. With 19 returning fan favorites rounding out the slate, CBS is reinforcing its position as a destination for must-see entertainment.

George Cheeks, Chair of TV Media at Paramount said: "For us, every green light and renewal decision starts with one question: will the series appeal to the core CBS older audience and find an unduplicated younger audience on Paramount+? For the past few seasons, we've launched hit shows virtually every night of the week, and they do just that."

Amy Reisenbach, President of CBS Entertainment said: "CBS broadcasts the most-watched entertainment shows in the country and continues to launch more every season. We'll build on that this fall by expanding the powerful NCIS franchise and introducing a new original drama from the creators of The Good Wife and Elsbeth and a comedy from the acclaimed duo behind Ghosts. This all adds up to another schedule built for launching new hits, scaling audiences, and growing content value."
