Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing Attends Malaysia National Huichun Calligraphy Convention 2026

On February 8, H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing fulfilled an invitation to attend the Malaysia National Huichun Calligraphy Convention 2026, which was joined by organiser The Federation of Calligraphy Society Malaysia (FOCSM)'s President Ng Swee Kheng, representatives of co-organiser Sin Chew Daily and Pavilion Damansara Heights, Malaysia's calligraphers and calligraphy enthusiasts, and onlookers, among over a hundred people.

Ambassador Ouyang said that calligraphy is a treasure of Chinese culture, as well as a wealth of all people. Driven by the Belt and Road Initiative, people-to-people and cultural exchanges continue to deepen, and calligraphy has become an "ambassador of cultural exchange" between the people of China and Malaysia. Rooted in Chinese culture, Malaysian calligraphy integrates local diverse cultures and the spirit of the times, showcasing a unique style. As a calligraphy art form, Huichun not only encapsulates the anticipation for Chinese New Year, but also reflects the solid foundation of civilizational exchanges and mutual learning, as well as the close people-to-people ties between China and Malaysia.

Based on statistics from FOCSM, approximately 2,000 people signed up for the Convention, indicating an encouraging response from the public.
