TRAFFIC ALERT - Sussex County - Pettyjohn Road Closed for Utility Work

Pettyjohn Road Closed for Utility Work

Georgetown - The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that Pettyjohn Road will be closed between Gravel Hill Road (Route 30) and Prettyman Road starting on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 7:00 a.m. and ending on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The closure is necessary for a horizontal jack and bore for an offsite water main.

Detour - Motorists traveling south bound on Pettyjohn Road, will turn right onto Prettyman Road, turn left onto Gravel Hill Road, returning to Pettyjohn Road.

Motorists traveling north bound on Gravel Hill Road. Will continue past Pettyjohn Road, turn right onto Prettyman Road, returning to Pettyjohn Road.
