President Stubb meets with parliamentary party chairs

On Thursday 15 January 2026, President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb met with chairs and vice chairs of the parties represented in the Finnish Parliament. The meeting took place at the President's residence in Munkkiniemi, Helsinki.

The meeting focused on the situation in Ukraine and other current foreign and security policy issues.

The meeting was attended by chairs Petteri Orpo (The National Coalition Party), Antti Lindtman (The Finnish Social Democratic Party), Antti Kaikkonen (The Centre Party of Finland), Sofia Virta (The Greens), Minja Koskela (The Left Alliance) and Sari Essayah (Christian Democrats in Finland) The Finns Party was represented by its first vice chair, Teemu Keskisarja, and Movement Now by its first vice chair, Panu Peitsaro.

President Stubb last met the party leaders in August 2025.
