Garland Earns State Video Awards

The City of Garland earned seven awards during the annual Texas Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors conference in early November in Houston.

Garland received awards in six categories, including first-place trophies for the following productions:

Another video, "Mumentous," won second place for Event/Program Promotion, and the City won the second place Overall Excellence Award.

Three other videos earned third place:

Garland's Public & Media Relations Department manages and assists with production of the City's Government Access Cable Channel (CGTV), Garland City Press and other publications, and the City website. Public & Media Relations partners with other City departments including Arts, Visit Garland, Office of Emergency Management and Library.
