RESEARCHERS: Adjusted Timeline for NIH’s Implementation of Common Forms
To allow the research community additional time to transition to the NIH's new Common Forms for Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending (Other) Support, NIH has extended enforcement of the requirement through May 2026.
During this transition period, NIH will continue to accept applications using the current NIH Biosketch and Other Support format pages. Applications will not be withdrawn for noncompliance; however, a warning notice will be issued when the Common Forms are not used.
Although enforcement has been delayed, researchers are strongly encouraged to begin using the Common Forms as soon as possible. Faculty should review the updated requirements and complete setup well in advance of proposal deadlines.
