Seeking Interested Shareholders to Serve as Advisory Committee Members

Sitnasuak Native Corporation (SNC) is seeking interested Shareholders to serve as advisory committee members for the SNC Land and Elders Committees. Letters of interest are due by October 31, 2025.

As background, the advisory committee members give advice and support with the Corporation and Committees. The member term is for two years and the role provides a way to involve and engage Shareholders. The Board of Directors requires interested Shareholders to submit an application and a letter of interest for consideration.

For the Land Committee, advisory committee members work with Board members on planning uses of Sitnasuak land, and balance the traditional, subsistence, social and economic development uses of Corporation lands.

For the Elders Committee, advisory committee members work with Board members to represent Elder Shareholders, select Elder of the Year, help with the Elders calendar and other cultural materials.

Committee meeting schedules vary but often meet quarterly. Individuals must be a Sitnasuak Shareholder to apply. An application should include a brief introduction, an overview of qualifications, employment history or background, and key points of consideration for the committee, with a resume or any additional information one wishes to include.
