Ten University of Hartford Alumni to Receive Anchor Awards

They're among the ten distinguished University of Hartford alums who will receive the most prestigious alumni award the University has to offer: the Anchor Awards.

Stewarded by the Alumni Advisory Council, with nominations solicited from the full University community each year, the Anchor Awards recognize and celebrate alumni who have excelled professionally and made significant contributions to their communities.

This year's recipients are:

• Shanell Farmer-Rowe '18, MBA, and Destynie Medeiros '19 - Outstanding Alum: Early Career Professional, which recognizes an alum who has demonstrated exceptional early career success and future potential
• Steven Anderson '91, Deborah Dutcher '91, and Joel Gotler '69 - Outstanding Alum: Exceptional Professional Success, recognizing an alum whose career accomplishments are especially exceptional
• Lisa Cameron M'03, Benjamin Fain '02, and Aisha E. Miller '00 - Outstanding Alum: Impact on Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement, awarded to an alum whose professional success focuses on improving their community.
• Bobbi McNeil '94 - Outstanding Alum: Impact on the University of Hartford, awarded to an alum who has had a remarkable impact on the University through their philanthropic support and/or service
• Nancy Pantirer '77 - Distinguished Alum, which recognizes an alum who embodies the highest caliber of personal and professional accomplishment, strength of character, and representation of University values

The 2026 ceremony will take place Thursday, September 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Wilde Auditorium.
