Birmingham Jewellery Quarter-based precious metal specialist, The Betts Group, has presented its vision for the future of wedding rings, focusing on design innovation, material provenance and expanded choice for Spring 2026.
At the centre of the launch is the Modern Court, a more premium evolution of the classic court wedding band designed to offer a comfortable fit and an elevated finish. At the same time, The Betts Group is doubling down on its commitment to traceability with its full provenance gold alloys, made using two independently verified, provenance-led metals: Single Mine Origin (SMO) Gold and AgAIN Silver.
Retailers will be able to share a clear, credible and evidence-backed story about the provenance of their gold rings at the point of sale, thereby providing unparalleled reassurances to customers who are increasingly concerned about supply chain transparency, sustainability and misleading recycling claims.
Lastly, The Betts Group aims to help retailers convert enquiries into sales with the introduction of 14ct white and yellow gold to its wedding ring portfolio. By bridging the gap between 9ct and 18ct gold, retailers can target price-sensitive clients who want a luxury product despite the incredible fluctuations in the global price of gold.
Together, these three focuses for Spring 2026 place The Betts Group at the forefront of innovation and material transparency among wedding ring suppliers.
The Betts Group Managing Director, Charlie Betts, says,
"Wedding rings are an essential foundation for most high street jewellery businesses, but the category has stood still for too long. As we developed the shape of the Modern Court, it soon became clear that our wedding ring offering could be elevated with a total commitment to diverse alloys, guaranteed provenance and full traceability. As of Spring 2026, The Betts Group will give independent retailers access to wedding rings with a clear point of differentiation for conscientious consumers."
The Modern Court features an enhanced internal curve to create a more ergonomic shape, something that was perfected over many months by The Betts Group's manufacturing team. By blending comfort, refinement and full provenance gold alloys, the business has created what it believes to be a new 'hero' profile for an emerging generation of couples, whose values are centred on responsible craftsmanship and transparent supply chains.
The Betts Group's Head of Business Development for Bridal, David Fletcher, adds,
"This launch reflects how the wedding ring category is evolving. Couples today are looking for rings that feel comfortable to wear every day, are made from materials they can trust, and offer clear choices when it comes to gold. By bringing together the Modern Court profile, full provenance gold alloys and 14ct gold, we've created a collection that supports both meaningful customer choice and confident retail conversations."
The Betts Group is the UK's leading supplier of responsibly sourced precious metals, including SMO Gold and AgAIN Silver, which is guaranteed to be recycled from medical X-ray waste. Its segregated refining capabilities also ensure The Betts Group is the UK's only certified refinery for Fairtrade and Fairmined metals, something that is supported by its status as a Certified Member of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
Looking ahead, The Betts Group will debut the Modern Court at the Retail Jeweller Festival in London on March 16-17, 2026. It will also spotlight the range at the Jewellery Show, starting in September.
