San Rafael Creek dredging project has officially begun
On November 2, 2026, the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) began their dredging operations in San Rafael Creek.
The USACE is managing the work done by Pacific Dredge and Construction Company for the federal portion of the channel (i.e. the middle lane).

Please note: None of the dredging work is being performed or managed by the City of San Rafael, and inquiries regarding this work should be directed to either the USACE or Pacific Dredge and Construction as the company performing the work.
