City’s Solid Waste & Recycling Department Hosting Mighty Machines

The City's Solid Waste & Recycling Department will host their first Mighty Machines event from 9 am to Noon on Saturday, September 20, at the White Street Landfill, 2503 White St. This interactive event allows residents and families to explore and learn about some of the City's largest trucks and heavy equipment.

Featured vehicles and demonstrations will include a side-loader, excavator, knuckle-boom crane, and more. City staff will be on-site to show how the trucks work and what they do to keep the City of Greensboro thriving. Free hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided by the Greensboro Police Department's grill team. There will also be food vendors, giveaways, tours, and interactive displays.

This is a FREE event. Space is limited, and registration is required at https://www.greensboro-nc.gov/mightymachines. The first 50 registrants will receive a food truck voucher for a free or discounted item.
