Two Cybersecurity Investigation Experts Join FTI Consulting as Managing Directors

Washington, D.C., Jan. 15, 2025 - FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the expansion of its Cybersecurity practice with the appointment of Jason Hale and Ted Theisen as Managing Directors.

Mr. Hale and Mr. Theisen join the firm with more than 35 years of combined experience in the cybersecurity industry in both the public and private sectors. Their significant experience providing expert witness testimony will bolster the existing capabilities of the practice in this space, and they will lean on their extensive technical expertise to support clients with complex cybersecurity investigations, vulnerability and risk assessments, compliance challenges and incident response planning.

Mr. Hale has more than 15 years of digital forensic, incident response, malware analysis, cloud investigations and threat intelligence experience. He has led and executed multiple cyber investigation engagements which include delivering expert witness testimony.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Hale was a Managing Director at a global consulting firm, leading their Cyber Threat Investigations & Expert Services team. Prior to that, he was a digital forensic examiner where he led and conducted cyber engagements for civil and criminal litigation matters and internal corporate investigations.

Mr. Theisen is based in Washington, D.C. and joins FTI Consulting with more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and information technology. His experience includes information security program design and enhancement, risk assessments, cyber incident response and providing expert witness testimony.

Mr. Theisen also joins FTI Consulting from a global consulting firm, where he developed and built their information security consulting practice. He has also served as a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation and as the Branch Chief for Cyber Integrity for the Executive Office of the President, which comprises all entities of the White House.
