Rescheduled: Water Treatment Plant Maintenance June 15-21: Change in Water Color Possible

City staff are conducting maintenance at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club Wellfield starting on Monday, June 15 through Sunday, June 21.

During this time, the Peele-Dixie Water Treatment Plant will be temporarily shut down. Residents in neighborhoods south of Broward Boulevard who normally receive water from the Peele-Dixie Water Treatment Plant will temporarily receive water from the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant and may notice a slight change in color. Please be assured that the water is safe and meets all primary drinking water standards.

Due to the difference in treatment process and technology, the drinking water produced by Fiveash, which utilizes a lime-softening treatment process, has a slightly different color than water produced at the Peele-Dixie Water Treatment Plant, which uses advanced reverse osmosis technology. Again, please be assured that all water produced by the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant is safe to drink.

Neighbors with questions may contact the City's Customer Support Center at 954-828-8000.'

Note: This work has been rescheduled. It was previously announced to take place Monday, June 1 through Sunday, June 7.
