Meet The Zedger: Yi Tsai

Q: Who are you and where are you from?

A: I am Yi Tsai. I was born in Taiwan and moved to the US in the '80.

Q: Tell us a little bit about your career path: how did you get from where you started to Zedge?

A: I started my accounting career in Taiwan with Deloitte. After business school, I worked for various financial institutions and a multinational corporation in New York City. Prior to joining Zedge in 2017, I was CFO of a small public tech company.

Q: What is your role at Zedge?

A: Chief Financial Officer.

Q: Impressive title! What does that mean, though? What's an average work day look like?

A: With help from the finance team, I am responsible for all accounting and finance related matters at Zedge. My work day begins right after my first cup of coffee around 7am and ends at about 6pm when I start preparing for dinner.

Q: What's your favorite thing about working at Zedge?

A: Interacting with smart people around the world.

Q: What's your least favorite thing about working at Zedge?

A: Tight deadlines (SEC reporting…)

Q: What do you do for fun outside of work?

A: Traveling and cooking.
