MIAMI (April 2, 2026) - Two young artists from Grenada and Sint Maarten, accompanied by their classmates, were celebrated aboard Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK) ships after their posters addressing marine environmental protection earned top honors in the 2025 Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Foundation Children's Poster Competition.

Eleven-year-old Alaina Johnson of St. Mary's Catholic School in Grenada and 13-year-old Evan Renier Amatdjais of Milton Peters College in Sint Maarten created winning artwork on the theme "How to Protect the Marine Environment from Land-Based Activities." The world's largest cruise company celebrated the students with ship visits, educational experiences and recognition for their schools.

"We congratulate these talented young people on their exceptional work highlighting marine environmental protection," said Marie McKenzie, senior vice president of government & destination affairs at Carnival Corporation. "We're proud to partner with the FCCA Foundation to provide these experiences and to introduce Caribbean students to the cruise industry. We're committed to inspiring the next generation through programs like these."

Alaina Johnson was honored aboard P&O Cruises' Aurora on March 2 this year which included a special presentation at the pier, facilitated by port agent George F. Huggins & Company (Grenada) Limited. Representatives from the Grenada Tourism Authority attended the event.

Evan Renier Amatdjais was celebrated aboard Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Venezia on March 3, 2026. Representatives from the Ministry of Tourism and the Sint Maarten Tourist Bureau were in attendance for the onboard ceremony.

Both celebrations included congratulatory video messages from FCCA president, Adam Ceserano. As first-place winners, the FCCA provided both students with laptop computers and awarded their respective schools US$3,000 to support educational development. The ship visits incorporated tours of onboard art galleries and exhibits, reflecting the artistic nature of the competition.

"These winning posters reflect both artistic talent and a deep understanding of marine conservation. The FCCA Foundation is proud to support educational programs that inspire students to think critically about protecting our marine environments for future generations," commented Ceserano.

The annual competition engages students across the Caribbean and Latin America in environmental education and creative expression.
