Meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov

On February 17, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Honorable Abdulla Aripov, who had arrived in Dushanbe on a working visit.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of the Tajik-Uzbek strategic partnership and allied cooperation. Paths for their further development and expansion were explored.

The positive trend of increasing mutual trade and investment cooperation was noted with satisfaction. In this context, the Leader of the Nation pointed to significant opportunities for further advancement of this process in various sectors of industry, energy, transport, agriculture, and other areas of mutual interest. The parties also expressed interest in further expanding cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The Head of State emphasized the effective work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, the latest meeting of which was held today in Dushanbe.

The parties noted the importance of continuing to maintain constructive and trusting interstate dialogue across the entire spectrum of the bilateral agenda. In this context, the focus was on ensuring high-quality preparation for upcoming high-level meetings and negotiations. They exchanged views on the schedule for organizing and holding similar interstate events this year.
