Advisor to Foreign Minister visits Kuwait to strengthen investment and development cooperation

On 21 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited Kuwait on a mission to strengthen investment and development cooperation between Thailand and Kuwait. He met with Mr. Mohammed Yousef Mulla Yaqoub, Assistant Director General for Business Development, Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), and discussed ways to promote and facilitate Thai private sector investment in Kuwait in agrifood industries, infrastructure development, and medical services.

The Advisor also held talks with Mr. Rushaid Ali Rushaid Al Bader, Acting Director-General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, to explore trilateral cooperation, particularly supporting development in Africa through the Thailand-Africa Initiative (TAI) in key sectors, such as agriculture and food processing and health to promote sustainable development, as well as the possibility of projects promoting physical connectivity in Thailand's southern border provinces.
