Marx Makes MAGA Pick for Lieutenant Gov; Colorado Democratic Party Chair Issues Statement

DENVER - Today far-right Republican nominee for governor, Victor Marx, announced George Markert as his nominee for Lieutenant Governor, binding his floundering campaign even tighter to the MAGA right. Markert ran for U.S. Senate as a Republican this cycle, but failed to even make the primary ballot.

Colorado Democratic Party Chair Shad Murib has issued the following statement:

"Victor Marx could not have made a more toxic pick for Lieutenant Governor. George Markert has tied himself so tightly to Trump, his disastrous war in Iran, and to far-right figures like Tom Tancredo that it's clear Republicans want to bring the failing, cost-raising MAGA agenda to the Governor's Office."
