Rep. Burlison Releases Statement on the Line of Duty Deaths of Christian County Deputies

WASHINGTON - Rep. Eric Burlison (MO-07) released the following statement after two Christian County deputies were killed in the line of duty and others were wounded during a violent incident in southwest Missouri.

I am devastated by the loss of Deputy Gabriel Ramirez and a second Christian County deputy killed in the line of duty, and by the injuries suffered by others in a brutal and senseless act of violence against those sworn to protect our communities. This evil took the lives of public servants who answered a call to stand between danger and their neighbors, but it was met by courage, unity, and resolve. The coordinated response of local, state, and federal law enforcement brought the violence to an end and prevented further harm. My prayers are with the families who grieve, the officers who continue to serve, and a community seeking comfort and strength in the face of profound loss.
