Chip sealing on US-127 in Roscommon, Crawford counties starts July 13

GAYLORD, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $2.8 million to chip seal more than 13 miles of US-127 from the Muskegon River in Roscommon County to I-75 in Crawford County.

Chip seal treatment protects existing pavement by waterproofing the road surface and filling existing cracks, and improves traction for vehicles. This project includes new pavement markings and rumble strips.
