GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. The purpose of this MARADMIN is to announce the
Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) High Visibility Billets (HVB) for Master
Gunnery Sergeants (MGySgts) within the following Military

10. Eligibility criteria:
10.a. All MGySgts with 10 months time on station at tentative
report date are eligible and will be screened unless already in
an appropriate HVB.
11. Ineligibility criteria.
11.a. Approved retirement.
11.b. Stabilized for deployment.
11.c. Marines currently serving on an Enlisted Career Force
Controls (ECFC) waiver.
12. Administration and Logistics. Manpower Management Enlisted
Assignments (MMEA) will convene the FY27 HVBB at Headquarters,
Marine Corps, on 4 August 2026. Board questionnaires and
coordinating instructions will be sent out to each eligible nominee
via separate correspondence by MMEA NLT 15 June 2026. Marines who
believe they meet the eligibility criteria, but have not received a
board questionnaire by 15 June 2026, must contact MMEA immediately.
Board questionnaires must be completed electronically NLT 15 July
2026. All slate related correspondence must be emailed to this
MARADMIN's points of contact NLT 15 July 2026.
12.a. ECFC waivers will be taken into consideration on a case by
case basis. Marines should not submit an ECFC waiver to compete for
a position on the HVBB.
12.b. Upon receipt of CONUS orders, primary selects have 20 days
to gain 28 months of obligated service from estimated date of
arrival or submit for retirement in lieu of executing orders
effective on the last day of the reporting month.
12.c. Upon receipt of OCONUS orders, primary selects have 20 days
to gain 40 months of obligated service from the estimated date of
arrival or may submit for retirement in lieu of executing orders
effective on the last day of the reporting month.
12.d. HVBs with a reporting date in 2026 are considered
immediate fills and selects will be notified upon completion
of the sub-board.
