Trump Will Resume LNG Export Approvals

President Trump announced a new executive order that would allow more LNG export facility approvals.

The following is a reaction from Gillian Giannetti, senior attorney at NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council):

"The president's decision to continue exporting LNG is deeply misguided. Expanding LNG production deepens our reliance on fossil fuels at a time when we urgently need to transition to clean energy. LNG operations contribute to dangerous climate pollution, harm public health, and increase energy costs for American families-all while locking communities near those facilities into decades of environmental and economic risks."
