PITTSBURGH - Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nabeeha Mohy-ud-din, MD, as division chief of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
Dr. Mohy-ud-din is a triple board-certified gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist whose career bridges clinical excellence, academic scholarship and organizational leadership.
Most recently serving as interim chief of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, and previously as associate chief, Dr. Mohy-ud-din has helped expand clinical programs, increase patient access to care and support physician development. She also recently co-founded the AHN Alcohol Bridge Clinic, which brings together addiction medicine and hepatology to better serve patients with complex conditions and those in underserved communities.
Dr. Mohy-ud-din is widely recognized for her contributions to the field. She has delivered more than 50 national presentations and authored over 25 peer-reviewed publications, underscoring her commitment to advancing research and education in gastroenterology and hepatology.
Her leadership has also been recognized nationally through honors such as the Pennsylvania Medical Society's Top Physicians Under 40 Award (2025) and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Leadership Award for Women in Hepatology (2024).
Dr. Mohy-ud-din has completed fellowships in transplant hepatology and gastroenterology/hepatology, as well as an internal medicine residency at AHN. She received her medical degree from Khyber Medical University in Pakistan and earned a graduate certificate in hospital management from the University of Leeds in the UK.

The nationally recognized clinicians of the AHN Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition - part of the AHN Medicine Institute - offer specialized programs for a wide range of conditions including irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, GERD, liver disease, pelvic floor dysfunction, pancreas/bile tract disorders, and more.
