Jim Donnelly, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank, is pleased to announce that Wayne Bank has supported the Pike County Public Library through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).
Nicole Heyer, Executive Director of the Pike County Public Library, accepted a check in the amount of $3,000 from Madeline Portugal, Assistant Vice President and Community Branch Manager at Wayne Bank. With this donation, Wayne Bank helps the organization develop its collection of community resources, increase the number of programs, and maintain library operations.
"Libraries are so much more than places to borrow books. They're centers for learning, connection, and opportunity. We're proud to support the Pike County Public Library and the important role it plays in enriching lives, encouraging lifelong learning, and strengthening our communities." said Jim Donnelly, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank.
The vision of the Pike County Public Library is to establish and maintain an information center which will meet the ongoing educational, cultural, and recreational needs of the growing county in the 21st century. To meet this vision, the library offers a variety of resources to the community, including passports, library cards, e-resources and databases, meeting rooms, business resources, and community information. With these resources, the Pike County Public Library aims to grow and connect with Pike County, ultimately enriching the lives of community members.
This gift was made possible because of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Community and Economic Development.
