StRides Against Suicide & Overdose

StRides Against Suicide & Overdose is proud to host a powerful community event to raise essential funds for mental health and substance abuse treatment, with a strong commitment to supporting our veteran population. This annual event features a 5K Run/Walk and bike rides of10, 40, 60, and 100 miles, welcoming participants of all backgrounds-including those who have served our country. We recognize that many veterans face unique mental health challenges and barriers to care. That's why a portion of our scholarship funds is specifically dedicated to helping veterans in Northwest Indiana who are uninsured or unable to afford treatment. Our partnership with LPA Counseling allows us to connect these individuals with life-saving support. Now in our sixth year, StRides Against Suicide & Overdose has funded nearly 100 treatment scholarships, with testimonials from veterans expressing that this support has truly saved their lives. With your help,we aim to expand our reach and serve even more heroes in need. By joining us, you're not only participating in a meaningful event-you're helping provide hope and healing to veterans andothers in our community who are struggling.

StRides Against Suicide & Overdose is organized by a dedicated team of mental health advocates, community volunteers, and nonprofit professionals passionate about increasing access to life-saving treatment. The event is coordinated in partnership with LPA Counseling andsupported by local sponsors, veteran organizations, and community members throughout Northwest Indiana. Our team includes experienced event planners, fundraising professionals, and individuals personally impacted by mental health and substance use challenges-including veterans. Together, we are committed to breaking the stigma, providing financial assistance for care, and building a healthier, more supported community.
