With the Federal government's ongoing shutdown, many Chemung County residents may have their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits temporarily suspended as of November 1, 2025.
For individuals who may need assistance before the Federal shutdown concludes, Chemung County has updated its website to include a "Food Pantry Locator" button that providesup-to-date information on available community food resources throughout the County.
