Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Kong Xianhua Meets with the Controller General of Immigration Mr. Ahmed Faseeh

On October 21, Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives H.E. Mr. Kong Xianhua met with Mr. Ahmed Faseeh, the Controller General of Maldives Immigration, upon request.

Ambassador Kong stated that, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, practical cooperation between China and the Maldives has continued to deepen. He said that the Maldives Immigration plays an important role as the gatekeeper of the nation, contributing positively to ensuring the safety of Chinese nationals in the Maldives and facilitating their entry and visa procedures. With the steady advancement of the China-Maldives community with a shared future, people-to-people exchanges between the two countries will become even more frequent. China is ready to continue its sound cooperation with Maldives Immigration, support its capacity building, and jointly promote smoother exchanges and stronger bilateral relations.

Mr. Faseeh expressed appreciation for the long-standing support and assistance from the Chinese Embassy to Maldives Immigration. He said that the Maldives side looks forward to enhancing training and exchange cooperation with China and learning from China's advanced experience. Faseeh also pledged to actively facilitate visa and entry processes for Chinese nationals and make every effort to ensure their safety in the Maldives.
