Over 2800 Children Running in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama 2026 Kids Marathon

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Our company is proud to partner with the City of Hoover, Discover Shelby, and Birmingham Events to host the third annual Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Marathon.

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, February 21 at Spain Park High School in Hoover. Opening ceremony is at 9:45 a.m. followed by the Mascot Dash. Children in grades K - 5 began completing their miles at school and will finish their final mile when they cross the finish line at the event.

Marathon schedule:

• 5^th Grade - 10:30 a.m.
• 4th Grade - 10:40 a.m.
• 3rd Grade - 10:50 a.m.
• 2nd Grade - 11 a.m.
• 1st Grade - 11:10 a.m.
• Kindergarten - 11:20 a.m.
