Did you know Rancho Cordova is home to a 55-acre urban farm along the American River Parkway? Welcome to Soil Born Farms!
More than just a farm, Soil Born Farms is a nonprofit dedicated to sustainable agriculture, hands-on education, and building community connections. Each year, they offer over 100 classes and grow an abundance of fresh produce, plants, and more.
Every Saturday from 8 AM - 1 PM, stop by for stress-free, open-air shopping at their organic produce stand. Don't miss Milly's Mercantile, featuring a curated selection of local farm goods, pantry essentials, and handcrafted products. Expect anything from homemade soups to Camina bread, pies from Real Pie Company, and much more.
Before you head out, grab a treat at Phoebe's Tea & Snack Bar, named after a beloved farm cow. Along with tasty baked goods and snacks, this microbusiness provides on-the-job training through Soil Born Farms' Teen Empowerment program, giving local teens valuable skills for the future.
Spend a morning at Soil Born Farms and you'll leave with more than fresh food, you'll take home a little taste of community, learning and connection.
