Community invited to attend inauguration events for Montana State President Brock Tessman

BOZEMAN - Montana State University will host a series of events on Wednesday and Thursday, April 1 and 2, to celebrate the inauguration of Brock Tessman as the university's 13th president.

The festivities will begin Wednesday with a reception open to all MSU students. On Thursday, morning gatherings in Three Forks and at MSU's Arthur H. Post Agronomy Farm will be open to the public, followed by the investiture ceremony and reception on the MSU campus that afternoon. All events are free, but some require advance RSVPs.

Wednesday, April 1

• 3 to 5 p.m.: MSU student reception in Norm Asbjornson Hall in Inspiration Hall. RSVPs are required.

Thursday, April 2

• 7:50 to 8:50 a.m.: Local community gathering at the Sacajawea Hotel, 5 N. Main St., Three Forks. Open to the public; RSVPs are encouraged.
• 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.: Visit to MSU's Arthur H. Post Agronomy Farm, 8431 Huffine Lane, Bozeman. Open to residents in the area, no RSVP required.
• 3 to 4:30 p.m.: Investiture of Tessman as MSU's 13th president, MSU Strand Union Building Ballrooms, 751 W. Grant St., Bozeman. Open to the public; doors open at 2:15 p.m. and RSVPs are required. A community reception will follow the formal investiture ceremony.
