I-75 lane, shoulder closures for continued bridge improvements begin March 23 in Saginaw County

SAGINAW, Mich. -The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is continuing work on a $10.1 million investment to improve five bridges on I-75 between Maple Road and Riverview Drive in Saginaw County.

Traffic Restrictions:
Traffic will be maintained with lane closures, shoulder closures and lane shifts within the project limits.

The Riverview Drive, Townline Road, Busch Road and Maple Road bridges will be closed and detoured to the Curtis Road bridge for the first stage of work. In mid-May, traffic on the Curtis Road, Townline Road and Maple Road bridges will be detoured to the Busch Road bridge for the second stage.

Jobs numbers:
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 85 jobs.

Safety benefit:
This work will improve and extend the service life of these structures. Lane and shoulder closures during this type of work are necessary to provide the safest work area possible for crews and motorists.
