Koichiro Sorimachi, formerly of OpenText, is assigned as Coupa’s representative in Japan

Coupa, the leading AI-native total spend management platform, today announced the appointment of Koichiro Sorimachi as President and Representative Director of its Japanese subsidiary.

With this appointment, Coupa K.K. will continue to grow and expand its business scale by capturing the strong demand in the Japanese market.

Kouichiro Sorimachi has over 30 years of experience as a leader in global enterprise business applications, including Microsoft, SAP, CA Technologies. Most recently, he has led organizations as President of CA Technologies and OpenText in Japan.

Koichiro Sorimachi Profile
In 1990, Sorimachi joined Nissan Motor Co. After working in corporate planning and implementing accounting and finance systems, he moved to Microsoft Japan in 1999. After 15 years of experience in enterprise and government business, he moved to SAP as Vice President (Partner/General Business Officer) and successfully led the development of the small and midsize business market. In May 2025, he joined Coupa K.K., where he was appointed President and Representative Director.
