Further strengthening of relations between Serbia, Republic of Ireland

Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović talked today with Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland to the Republic of Serbia Kevin Colgan about Serbia's progress in the process of European integration, as well as the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries.

Special attention was paid to the upcoming presidency of the Republic of Ireland of the Council of Europe from July 2026, bearing in mind that this state defined the support for the enlargement policy and strengthening partnership with the countries of the Western Balkans as one of its priorities.

The interlocutors examined the possibilities of further strengthening cooperation between Serbia and the Republic of Ireland, agreeing that it should continue to develop in the spirit of mutual understanding and support for Serbia's European path, according to a statement from the Ministry of European Integration.
