Resurfacing Project on SR 177 to Begin Sunday Night, June 14

Memphis, TN - The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) announces that an in-place resurfacing project on State Route 177 (Germantown Parkway) is scheduled to begin.

Beginning Sunday, June 14, nightly from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., there will be lane closures on SR 177 from Rockcreek Parkway to Stage Road, covering approximately one mile . This section of SR 177 includes an 8- to 9-lane roadway, and throughout construction, at least two lanes will remain open in each direction to help maintain traffic flow. Intermittent ramp closures should also be expected.

The contract was awarded to Standard Construction for $1.4 million, and the project is expected to be completed within 2 to 3 weeks.

Get the latest construction activity and live-streaming SmartWay traffic cameras from your desktop or mobile device at TN SmartWay Traffic. Travelers can also dial 511 for information or follow us on X @myTDOT for statewide travel, or in West Tennessee, follow @NicLawrenceTDOT.

As always, drivers are reminded to use all motorist information tools wisely and Know Before You Go! by checking travel conditions before leaving for your destination. Drivers should never tweet, text, or talk on a cell phone while behind the wheel.
