Creative Greensboro and Partners to Hold Auditions for Second Annual ‘Sonnet Fest’

Creative Greensboro, in partnership with little independent theatre, Scrapmettle, and Shared Radiance Performing Arts, will hold auditions for the second annual "Sonnet Fest," featuring creative performances of Shakepeare's Sonnets numbers 52-104. Auditions will be held at 7 pm on Monday, June 29, and Tuesday, June 30, in the Stephen D. Hyers Theatre at the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St.

Performers of all ages, experience levels, genders, ethnicities, or racial identities are welcome to register for an audition at creativegreensboro.com.

Actors, singers, and dancers are encouraged to prepare an interpretation of any Shakespeare sonnet for their audition. Performers may also read from sonnets provided. All performers will be asked to participate in a brief improvised movement audition. Rehearsals are in the evenings and on weekends as schedules permit. Performances will take place August 6-8 at various locations along the western corridor of the Greensboro Downtown Greenway.

Not a performer but you still want to participate? Some backstage support opportunities are also available. Register to join the crew using the same online audition form.
