On December 12, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions of the European Union and EU member states accredited to the Republic of Armenia.
The meeting noted with satisfaction the significant achievements recorded in advancing the Armenia-EU partnership in 2025 and the active dynamics. Views were exchanged regarding the priority steps and actions planned for 2026.
"You all are aware of the recent news when it comes to Armenia-EU relations: some 10 days ago in Brussels we adopted the new Strategic Agenda for the Armenia-EU partnership. This is quite a rich document, constituting, first of all, the achievements that we have in our bilateral relations, but also indicating directions in which we do have intention to deepen our relations," emphasized Minister Mirzoyan.
Minister Mirzoyan presented Armenia's vision, perceptions, and proposals for the further deepening of Armenia-EU partnership. The Foreign Minister of Armenia highly appreciated the continuous support provided by the European Union and its member states to Armenia on the path of democratic development, and, among other directions, emphasized the progress in visa liberalization, which would greatly contribute to promoting people-to-people contacts.
The Foreign Minister also presented the latest regional developments, including efforts toward normalization of relations with neighbors.
Minister Mirzoyan also answered other questions of interest to those present.
