Traffic Improvements Completed at 7800 South and 5600 West

Roadway improvements at the intersection of 7800 South and 5600 West are nearly complete, marking a big milestone for one of the city's busiest corridors. While final striping work is wrapping up and the County continues fine-tuning the sensing and timing on the new traffic signals, the intersection is now fully operational.

The project brings several key upgrades designed to improve safety and traffic flow:

• New dual left-turn lanes in all directions to better accommodate peak-hour traffic.
• A permissive left-turn arrow that replaces the former flashing yellow turn signal, reducing gap-shooting and enhancing predictability for drivers.
• Improved signal coordination to support smoother movement through the intersection once final timing adjustments are complete.
